tomorrow is the third session of our Organised Office remote live coaching course. And to kick it off I just wanted to challenge people about what good filing is. Because it’s not about looks – it’s about function
The in-trey is not for filing
most of us have heard that, but what if you just love the easy access of a trey.
Set it up the right way, don’t call it in-trey and you might have found your filing solution.
I love them myself and I have lots of them. All on top of each other like pigeon holes.
There are endless different designs, have a look at a cardboard version from Office works.
Set it up and have a good think about the sort of files that should go in. I think it works best for things you don’t want to store forever like bills, kids activity brochures, paper stationery, envelopes, to be filed or a special interest you are researching at the moment.
Don’t forget to label. And de clutter once they become full. Most of it should than land in the recycle bin!!
